Contact Ministry
Our Contact Ministry was established in 2009; ultimately to meet a need in Faith Bible Church. The need arose for us to begin serving in the area of welcoming and contacting visitors when the church's average attendance rose above 200 people with two services. The Pastor himself was no longer able to tend to this area of ministry alone.
We are so thankful for the many men and women that choose to be part of the Contact Ministry Team. As the title states, you are a minister, not a greeter. Jesus in Matthew 28 said “Go and preach the gospel”, not go and shake everyone’s hand. It's our responsibility to welcome and inform new visitors of the different ministries and what they can expect to happen in service. An informed person is relaxed which allows them to be better ministered to. Most people may feel out of place because they don't know where certain things are or how things operate.
There are certain requirements that must be fulfilled before you can officially be an integral part of the Contact Ministry Team. The requirements include six months of consistent attendance at Faith Bible Church, a background check, Level One Training, Pastor's approval, and most importantly the Love of CHRIST. This agape love allows us to look past who they are presently and see what God created and meant for them in Jeremiah 29:11. You are not completely disqualified by your past, but you must be qualified by JESUS today.
