Lifetime Friends

I'd like to encourage you to attend service tonight. Come with an expectancy. Come with a heart to give. Come ready to be an encourager.

Sometimes people do not attend Wednesday nights services because they do not feel they need it. That may be true for some people, but even if you don't need the ministry; the ministry needs you. There will be someone here you can support, and strengthen. Let's practice being one.

I encourage all of you that have teens to bring them or send them tonight. We are beginning a series called "Lifetime Friends". It will be about how to develop and cultivate healthy relationships. Many parents do not realize their children and young people are in abusive relationships with others they "hang out" with. Some parents bring their kids to church and teach them in their homes, but are not aware of the fact that the people that their children spend the majority of time with uproot all they teach, as well as impart things that oppose their faith.

We all know relationships make or break us. Some of you reading this are in the middle of God's will because of the right relationships. Others reading just haven't quite made a commitment and you're still drawn just outside of the will of God because of what others have influenced you to think.

Peer Pressure is real. Influence is real. They apply to all ages.

Never before in history have so many people had access to our children, teens and families. Facebook, texting, and tweeting put us in direct contact with many influences. Are those influences healthy? Do those influences bring life? Do we see our relationships as an investment or are they disposable?

Awesome, Spirit Filled, Word inspired, and Life giving ministry for our young people.

Speaking of our young people.... last night we had a few teens go to the UGM shelter with us. They did 3 skits for the men, and all of the guys loved it. It was great to see the place packed out last night as our BONAFIDE Youth ministered to them!

Missionate!
