Mark 5:16-42

V18 - a new Christian that Jesus had just delivered, begged to go with Jesus...Jesus always knows what's best for our lives, When Jesus said "NO" to this new Christian, he did not go away sad, or return to his old lifestyle, but rather he started to proclaim God's word and how Jesus touched and changed his life (he free styled)

V28-30 - something stirred in a lady to get out and do something about her situation, she sought out Jesus because she had said "if I may only touch His clothes" Jesus will react to your faith when you reach out and do something about it, He will recognize when you move to touch Him in faith.

V33-37 - Jesus will help you to stay on what you have your faith in, to help you recognize obstacles, distractions or those that may try to get you to give up.  Jesus will remove them out for God to do a miracle in your life.

When I am hurt or offend, bruised, experienced disappointments in love how do I walk, react to love?

Only with God’s love poured into me can I walk pure and with my head held high in no shame………God’s love. will direct me towards forgiveness, healing, to a maturity about life, myself, relationships, truthfulness, trust

Philippians 1:9-11  pray that your love abound more and more…

Four Ways the Narrow Path/Gate Will Squeeze You

The gate and the road are narrow - constricted and restricted

1. The gate squeezes us to cut off junk
2. The road squeezes us to keep us focused
3. The hand squeezes us to let us know He is with us
4. The crowd squeezes us because you did it
 

There are restricted areas that allow you to go to places others can't go. People often feel like they do not belong, they feel uncomfortable.  Sometimes it's because they are in a restricted area.

The narrow road narrows options, but it does not narrow your ability to choose.

The Narrow Road... narrows our focus, but broadens our vision...narrows our investments, but increases our harvest...narrows our relationships, but deepens our friendships... narrows your view, but multiplies your knowledge.

Someone's squeezing you...who is it?

Matthew 26:36-46

What squeezes you?  We are learning  that Jesus was our main squeeze and as He entered into the garden of Gethsemane ( “Gethsemane” means Olive PRESS”) Jesus was squeezed by the Father Himself.  The weight of sin and the consequences of it squeezed Jesus in the garden to the point that it squeezed the blood right out of Him.  He was squeezed on the cross to the point that His heart burst causing blood and water to flow.

What Came Out of Jesus When He was Squeezed at the Garden

Four Things we can Learn About Worship from the Birth of Christ

1. Humility- Jesus’  birth in the stable/manger was probably the most humble of places.  No extravagant pomp or circumstances.  Humility is key in approaching the Savior
2. Rejection- Joseph and Mary were rejected and placed out in a stable.  During times of rejection our worship can be the most amazing
3. Pressure- Jesus was surrounded by outside pressure.  Conspiracy had begun to have him killed.  The shepherds and kings showed up to worship in a very dangerous atmosphere
4. Acceptance- Locals and foreigners were present at the first worship moments of the King.  Outsiders are welcome.  Jesus is not just King or worshiped within your city limits or 4 walls.

Despite the environment, the atmosphere, the surroundings and conditions the worship that occurred at the birth of Christ was done face to face.  The shepherds themselves have a supernatural encounter with heavenly angels but still did not say a word to the world without seeing Jesus face to face.

Worship is about:

1. seeing something that no one else sees
2. worship by giving out your treasure
3. worship is a journey- it takes effort and it has a destination

Discovering gifts and treasure in you is essential for worship.  Otherwise your worship will always be external and you will eventually worship that which is external.
